The DVE-101/201 Series of extensometers performs precise, non-contact elongation measurements by using CCD cameras to capture digital images of test specimens. The PC then performs image processing of the data and calculates the elongation of the gauge length.
Ideal for all type of materials, including metals, rubber, plastics, wood, foil and wires, configurations include:
* Single Camera Appropriate for use in applications when it is not necessary to have both a wide measurement range and high precision
* Double Camera This system makes it possible to switch between two different measurement modes by switching lenses:
o Separate Mode: enables the user to set the camera field of view without regard to the gauge length
o Large/Small Displacement Switching Mode: make it possible to cover a wide measurement range with high accuracy
Features
Non-contact Elongation Measurement
Measurement is performed without any direct contact with the specimen, eliminating damage to the specimen.
Highly Accurate Measurement
The DVE Series offers absolute measurement accuracy of +/- 3µm or a relative accuracy of +/- 1%, and supports high-precision measurement of yield strength.
Wide Measurement Range
Allows for measurement of specimens from 27 mm to 540 mm in size.
